Eamon Costello(Kerry) Ltd are proud to have recently completed the project in Ballyferriter which is sure to become a landmark and reference building through its unique architectural design, and sensitive blending into the awe inspiring West Kerry Landscape.
The structure is a single storey construction, with predominantly mono-pitch roof, in distinctive Sika Patina Green paying homage to the landscape. Orientated through three separate wings all connected centrally through a generous foyer, the building houses administration office space, classrooms and childcare facilities, canteen and janitorial areas.
Externally works included, hard and soft landscaping, extensive stone walling from local stone, site roads slip form kerbing, car-parking, and all associated drainage.
The project posed several construction & logistical challenges to the site team due to the remote location of the site, severe exposure class and prolonged inclement weather, along with availability of materials in the quantities required locally.
Despite these challenges the project was delivered to the highest standard and within programme.
