These work focused on the replacement and upgrading of fire doors and adjacent wall opes to achieve necessary building regulation requirement and compartmental separation.

The extent of the refurbishment was spread over two phased elements and covered a total of 90 opes across a wide spectrum of locations in a busy live hospital.

The nature of these works demonstrated Eamon Costello(Kerry) Ltd capability to deliver a sensitive element of work in an occupied building where noise, dust and phasing were of paramount importance to ensure the continued safety of the occupants.

Many of the door sets to be replaced were located on main corridors and procedure rooms which required careful planning and co-ordination to ensure no impact on the day-to day running of the hospital
