There were joyous scenes recently at KGH as the large gathering of supporters and well wishers spontaneously burst into applause and cheering as Ted Moynihan of Kerry Hospice Foundation turned the first sod on an exciting new development phase of the Palliative Care Centre at Kerry General Hospital.
In a culmination of many years of planning and fundraising there was delight amongst those present that work had began in earnest on providing an expansion to the range of facilities available and further reinforce the vital service provided by the hospice.
As a Kerry based company with a keen understanding of the vital role The Hospice Foundation plays in so many people’s lives Eamon Costello (Kerry) Ltd are pleased to have been selected as the preferred bidder on the prestigious extension to the Palliative Care Centre following a competitive tendering process.
Works, which are programmed to be completed within 12-months, have commenced on-site and are making steady progress. The initial phase of constructing the outer ring road has been completed and is now fully operational, clearing the footprint of the building to allow sub-structure and service diversion works to take place.
